If I can’t get into the book in the first chapter, I won’t finish it. But Emma had me from the start. She pulled me in so much that I was crying with her.
In this captivating novel, Teresa did an outstanding job of luring the reader into Tia's world. So many decisions had to be made, unexpected twists and turns as Tia's faith was tested and tried. "In the tapestry of life, God works in mysterious ways, weaving threads of hope and transformation." (Emma 122)
Shadows in the Forks is a good, clean, heartwarming story. It pulls a couple of characters from her previous book, "Emma," so that was cool. Her descriptions of the area are very picturesque. The mystery was not revealed easily, which is nice. Nothing sucks more than figuring out "who done it" too early in the story. Overall, it is a nice, cozy read. Oh, and who doesn't enjoy "Gone With the Wind"?!
